- Kerikeri Stone Store - a former storehouse, is the oldest stone building in New Zealand (1832). The building has been restored to its original state and is one of the most photographed buildings in the country.
- Kemp House - originally called the Mission House, is the oldest wooden structure still standing in New Zealand (1822).
- Rewa's Village - is a replica Maori kainga (fishing village) which existed when Europeans arrived in New Zealand. Rewa's Village has all the features of a true kainga.
- Waitangi Treaty House and National Reserve - This is the place where the Maori and English signed the Treaty of Waitangi. Attractions include a Maori war canoe, a Marae, the beautiful National Reserve and a mangrove boardwalk.
- Russell - is a historical town surrounded by history. Russell was the first capital of New Zealand and one of the first European settlements.
- Puketi Forest - Puketi Forest is a unique subtropical Kauri forest. The forest covers over 10 000 ha and has a wide range of walking and tramping opportunities. View the majestic Kauri trees, some more than 1000 years old.
- Rainbow Falls - The 4km walk from the Stone Store Basin to the 20 m Rainbow Falls meanders through very photogenic scenery and regenerating native bush. The track also leads to the Fairy Pools, a pleasant spot for picnics and swimming.
- Swim with the Dolphins - Swim with the dolphins and sometimes see the magnificent semi-resident whales, penguins, and other wildlife amidst the spectacular marine environment of the Bay of Islands.
- Arts and Crafts Trail - There are dozens of arts and crafts enterprises in the Kerikeri area and the Art and Craft Trail has become well known to tourists. This involves a visit to about 20 arts and crafts outlets in the area.
- Kauri workshop - Handcrafted wood products from rare New Zealand wood.
- Vineyards - Visit the surrounding vineyards that produce award-winning wines.
- Makana Boutique Chocolate Factory - Watch this award-winning company make a variety of delicious confections using the region's finest fruit and nuts. Enjoy a few samples, and shop for special treats and unique gifts.

- Diving and Snorkeling - Dive to stunning sites including the famous Rainbow Warrior Wreck, Catherdral Cave, Cavalli Islands and the spectacular Cape Brett.
- Fishing - The Bay Of Islands is one of the most exciting fishing destinations in the world with many world record fish caught in these waters. Fish for snapper, crayfish, kingfish, marlin, tuna, swordfish, sharks and a host of other species. No experience is necessary.
- Cruises - Visit Cape Brett and the hole in the rock.
